Times of Services at St Andrew's Ombersley
To enable the Priest in Charge to hold at least one service a month at each of the
seven churches it has been necessary to amend the times of our communion services.
The monthly pattern of services at St Andrews follows
|
|
The First Sunday in the Month
The Priest in Charge will lead a Common Worship Holy Communion service at 11:00a.m. NOTE LATER TIME A crèche will be
available at the back of the church and children are welcome to
join their families for a blessing at the altar. Coffee will be available before the service from 10:30a.m. as well as afterwards.
The Second Sunday in the Month
A ‘Family Service’, family-friendly, often ‘themed’, will be held at 9:30 a.m.
This lay-led service does not include Holy Communion and is particularly
suitable for children to attend. Coffee will be available afterwards.
The Third Sunday in the Month
This service will take the form of Common Worship Morning Prayer,
it will be held at 9:30am and will be lay-led. Coffee will be available afterwards
The Fourth Sunday in the Month
The Priest in Charge will lead a Joint Communion with Hartlebury & Doverdale
(continuing to rotate round the three churches). This service will be held at 11:00am NOTE LATER TIME
The Fifth Sunday in the Month
The Priest in Charge will lead a united service of Holy Communion for the 7 Parishes. This service will commence at 10:00 a.m. and rotate round the seven churches.
If you would like transport to
any of the 'away' services, including the 5th Sunday, please let one of the Church Wardens or PCC members know, their names and
contact details are on the 'Who's Who' page of this website.
The churchwardens and PCC are aware of the need to make sure that people know what is happening each Sunday and so will
widen the current publicity. In addition to this website See Latest Service Times
there are already notices of each month's services on the church noticeboards
and these will also be on the public noticeboards around the village.
Please feel welcome to drop in to any of our services if you are new to the parish
or just visiting.
